Algebra II Honors (1.0 credit)

The purpose of this course is to continue the study of algebra and to provide the foundation for applying algebraic skills to other mathematical and scientific fields. Upon successful completion of this course a student will understand relations & functions, absolute value, quadratic functions, and conic sections. Students will also work with polynomials, algebraic fractions, logarithmic and exponential functions, sequences and series, counting principles and probability.

Honors level courses require students to utilize higher order thinking skills such as analysis and synthesis, while completing more rigorous assignments. In addition, more emphasis is placed on research mastery and project based learning.
