Algebra I Honors (1.0 credit)
TThe purpose of this course is to develop the algebraic concepts
and processes that can be used to solve a variety of real-world and
mathematical problems. Upon successful completion of this course a
student will understand operations with real numbers, linear
equations, inequalities, relations, and functions. Students will
also be able to solve pairs of linear equations and inequalities,
polynomials, algebraic fractions, and exponents and radicals.
Honors level courses require students to utilize higher order
thinking skills such as analysis and synthesis, while completing
more rigorous assignments. In addition, more emphasis is placed on
research mastery and project based learning.
